Measurement & Layout: How We Avoid Extra Holes:
- Metric precision: We work in the metric system for maximum accuracy—millimeter-level spacing keeps grids aligned and reduces rework. But no worries: even though we measure in metric, we still speak Imperial.
- Laser leveling: Professional cross-line/rotary laser levels keep long runs perfectly level and plumb—even across uneven floors and tricky sightlines.
- Marking method: Light pencil or taped reference lines; no permanent markers. All layout marks are removed after install.
- Stud, pipe & live-wire scanning: We scan every drill location to avoid hazards and reduce wall damage.
- Mock positioning: For clusters and gallery walls, we dry-fit with templates before committing to hardware.

but if you want to try installing your art yourself, here is some advice depending on the type of wall you have:
Drywalls (sheetrock)
Hanging art on drywall typically involves using anchors, screws, or hooks to ensure stability, especially if the picture is heavy. For lightweight frames, adhesive strips or small nails may suffice. For heavier artwork, it’s best to locate wall studs using a stud finder and screw directly into them, or use wall anchors rated for the picture’s weight.
Brick walls
Hanging pictures on a brick wall requires different techniques than drywall due to the hardness and uneven surface of the material. The most secure method is drilling into the mortar joints with a masonry bit and using masonry anchors and screws to support the frame. For lighter artwork, brick clips or adhesive hooks designed for rough surfaces can work without causing permanent damage.
Concrete
Hanging pictures on a concrete wall requires sturdy hardware and the right tools. Typically, you’ll need a hammer drill with a masonry bit to create holes, followed by inserting wall plugs or anchors to hold screws securely. For heavier frames, use concrete screws or anchor bolts rated for the load.
Plaster wall
Hanging pictures on a plaster wall needs extra care to prevent cracking or crumbling. Since plaster is more brittle than drywall, it’s best to locate wall studs using a strong magnet and anchor into them with screws for heavier pieces. If studs aren’t available, use plaster wall anchors or toggle bolts designed to distribute weight safely.
Stone wall
To safely hang artwork on a stone wall, drill directly into the stone—not the mortar joints—as stone provides a stronger hold. Use a masonry bit with wall plugs or anchors rated for the weight of your piece. For lighter art, consider rail systems or high-strength adhesive hooks if the surface is smooth. With the right tools, you can hang art securely without damaging your wall.
